What data we collect and why

AI Transition Diagnostic

When you complete the AI Transition Diagnostic and request your results, we collect:

  • Your email address — to deliver your personalised diagnostic results.
  • Your diagnostic responses and scores — to generate your personalised profile and, if you opt in, to tailor follow-up content to your transition phase.
  • Your role type (e.g. in-house, agency, freelance, team manager) — to help us understand our audience and, in future, to tailor content more effectively.

Additional demographic data

When you complete the diagnostic, we also collect your years of experience, sector (e.g. in-house, agency, freelance), seniority level, and region. This data is used to tailor your results and, in anonymised and aggregated form, to inform published research, thought leadership content, and industry reporting. No individual responses are ever identified in any published material.

Lawful basis for processing:

  • Results delivery: Contractual necessity (Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR) — you request a service (your personalised results) and we process your data to deliver it.
  • Follow-up email series: Consent (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR) — only if you explicitly opt in via the checkbox on the diagnostic. You can withdraw this consent at any time by unsubscribing from any email or contacting us directly.
  • Demographic data for research: Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR) — we have a legitimate interest in understanding the professional profile of our audience and contributing to industry knowledge. This processing is proportionate, uses non-sensitive demographic categories, and poses minimal risk to your rights and freedoms. You can object to this processing at any time by contacting us.

Website analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our website. Google Analytics collects data including pages visited, time spent on pages, referring websites, and general geographic location (country/region level). This data is used to improve our website and content.

Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this information. The data collected is aggregated and anonymised — we do not use Google Analytics to identify individual visitors.

IP anonymisation: Google Analytics 4 does not log or store full IP addresses.

Lawful basis: Consent (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR) — we request your consent via a cookie banner before any analytics cookies are set. You can withdraw consent at any time by adjusting your cookie preferences or clearing your browser cookies.

Google acts as a data processor on our behalf. Google may transfer data outside the EEA; where this occurs, it is covered by Google's data processing terms and appropriate safeguards. You can review Google's privacy practices at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Advertising and remarketing

We may use Meta (Facebook) advertising tools, including the Meta Pixel, to:

  • Measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns on Facebook and Instagram.
  • Show relevant advertisements to people who have previously visited our website (remarketing/retargeting).
  • Create "lookalike" or "similar" audiences to reach new people whose interests may align with our existing audience.

The Meta Pixel collects data such as pages visited, actions taken on our website, and browser/device information. This data is shared with Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd, which acts as a joint controller with us for the initial collection of data via the Pixel.

Lawful basis: Consent (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR) — we request your consent via a cookie banner before the Meta Pixel is activated. You can withdraw consent at any time by adjusting your cookie preferences.

You can also control how Meta uses your data for advertising via your Facebook ad preferences: https://www.facebook.com/adpreferences

Meta may transfer data outside the EEA. You can review Meta's data practices at https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy.

Note: We may add or remove advertising platforms in future. If we do, we will update this policy and ensure appropriate consent mechanisms are in place before activating any new tracking.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies for the purposes described above. We categorise them as follows:

  • Strictly necessary cookies are essential for basic website function, such as session cookies and storing your cookie consent preference. These do not require consent.
  • Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the website. These include Google Analytics cookies (_ga, ga*). These require your consent before they are set.
  • Advertising cookies are used for ad measurement and remarketing. These include Meta Pixel cookies (_fbp, _fbc). These require your consent before they are set.

You can manage your cookie preferences at any time via the cookie banner on our website, or by clearing cookies in your browser settings. Declining optional cookies does not affect your ability to use our website or complete the diagnostic.
